Job Overview:
The NATO Data Analyst position is situated within the Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC) in Ulm, Germany. Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent's duties include maintaining a permanent awareness of the situation in the Information Environment (IE), evaluating the impact of JSEC's activities on the IE, and deputizing for the Staff Officer in operating social media monitoring and analytics tools. The analyst will contribute to the Information Environment Assessment (IEA) led by SHAPE J10, ensuring close coordination with IEA counterparts in other NATO commands. Responsibilities also include providing input for briefings, contributing to the planning of information and communication activities, and developing measures of effectiveness and performance for JSEC ICA. The analyst will participate in JSEC meetings and support the preparation and conduct of StratCom-related boards and working groups. Additionally, the role involves representing JSEC at NATO conferences and meetings as the J10 IEA representative.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess proven experience in Information Warfare, with a background in Strategic Communications, Information Operations, Psychological Operations, or Military Public Affairs. A comprehensive understanding of joint and combined operations is essential, along with sound knowledge of operational and tactical planning procedures. The ability to analyze the Information Environment and the impact of military activities is crucial, as is familiarity with planning and conducting Information Communication Activities (ICA). Strong cross-cultural communication skills are also required to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.

Educational Background:
A university degree is required, along with two years of function-related experience, or a higher secondary education with advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification and four years of post-related experience. A degree in Communications is highly appreciated, and any additional job-specific qualifications or training will be considered valuable. Additional Notes:
The contract for this position will be offered in accordance with NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations. Newly recruited staff will typically receive a three-year contract, which may be extended to an indefinite duration based on performance.
