Job Overview:
The UN System Mobility & Carpooling Consultant will play a crucial role in the expansion of the mobility and carpooling framework within the UN System Booking Hub. This position is essential as it transitions from the initial phases of business conceptualization and implementation to a full-scale operational expansion. The consultant will be responsible for enhancing legal, financial, operational, and contractual frameworks while also improving the capacity to lead operations through collaboration with various UN partners and Operations Management Teams (OMTs). The role requires a proactive approach to support partnerships, optimize business processes, and drive digital transformation initiatives across mobility and carpooling services. The consultant will also be tasked with monitoring performance metrics and scaling best practices across operations, ensuring that the services provided are efficient and effective.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support partnerships to align business processes, contractual frameworks, and digital transformation initiatives across mobility and carpooling services.
• Collaborate with UN agencies, WFP country offices, and internal and external stakeholders to leverage knowledge of fleet operations, drivers, and vehicles.
• Optimize business processes and drive digital transformation initiatives across mobility and carpooling services.
• Build capacity within WFP Country Offices to operationalize UN System Mobility, focusing on digital transformation in the field.
• Engage with OMTs to implement carpooling services by presenting the service to key stakeholders, establishing localized cost recovery models, and facilitating the signing of service agreements.
• Monitor carpooling performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), scaling up best practices across operations.
• Create comprehensive reports on carpooling efficiency gains, including environmental efficiencies and service optimization.

Required Qualifications:

• University degree in business administration, management, international relations, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience working on complex, multilateral projects.
• Proven knowledge of mobility, fleet management, and/or shared services.
• Experience in supporting business processes and digital service transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with UN systems and inter-agency coordination is highly desirable.
• Strong multi-stakeholder and partnership management skills.
• Results-oriented and data-driven approach to business transformation.
• Effective communication skills in multicultural settings.
• Change management and process alignment expertise. 1
• Knowledge of governance frameworks and standard operating procedures (SOPs). 1

Educational Background:
A university degree in business administration, management, international relations, or a similar field is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding complex organizational structures and the dynamics of international cooperation, which are essential for the role.

Experience:
Candidates must have at least 3 years of relevant experience working on complex, multilateral projects. This experience should include a proven track record in mobility, fleet management, or shared services, as well as involvement in business processes and digital service transformations. Familiarity with UN systems and inter-agency coordination will be considered a significant advantage.

Languages:
Written and oral proficiency in English is mandatory for this position. Additionally, proficiency in French and/or Spanish is considered a strong asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in diverse environments and with various stakeholders.

This position is classified as a Regular Consultancy Level 1, with a duty station that is primarily remote. The contract duration is from the date of hire until 31 December 202
