Job Overview:
The Field Monitoring Support Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting the Green Energy Future Project by conducting site visits and monitoring activities related to the project. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure that project objectives are met effectively and efficiently. The consultant will be responsible for gathering data, assessing project implementation, and providing feedback to improve project outcomes. The assignment period is from September 1, 2026, to March 30, 2027, during which the consultant will engage with various stakeholders, including project beneficiaries, local authorities, and UNDP staff, to ensure comprehensive monitoring and evaluation of the project's impact.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be tasked with the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular site visits to project locations to monitor progress and gather data on project implementation.
  • Assess the effectiveness of project activities and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Prepare detailed reports on findings from site visits, including challenges faced and solutions proposed.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and insights on project impact.
  • Support the development of monitoring tools and methodologies to enhance project evaluation processes.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on project strategy and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with UNDP policies and procedures during monitoring activities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of project monitoring and evaluation principles. A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders is essential. Additionally, candidates should have a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing project needs. Familiarity with the Green Energy sector and sustainable development practices will be considered an asset.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, project management, or social sciences is required. A master's degree in a related discipline will be an advantage and may enhance the candidate's profile.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in project monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the context of international development or environmental projects. Experience working with UN agencies or similar organizations will be highly regarded. Proven experience in conducting field assessments and stakeholder engagement is also essential.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Kosovo will be considered an asset, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and beneficiaries.
