Job Overview:
The Agente Técnico/a (AT) position is crucial for the implementation of HI's mandate and ten-year strategy in Venezuela. Under the supervision of the Project Supervisor, the AT contributes technical expertise to ensure the quality, relevance, and impact of interventions. The role involves close collaboration with the technical program team and the Project Supervisor, focusing on delivering rehabilitation services to beneficiaries. The AT is responsible for providing technical support in accordance with international standards and adapting project documentation as necessary. This position requires a commitment to ethical principles and continuous professional development, ensuring that the AT remains updated on best practices and technical standards in rehabilitation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Technical Expertise: Provide technical support to projects, ensuring compliance with international standards during clinical activities. Adapt project documentation as needed and promote knowledge of rehabilitation standards among team members. Ensure the quality of therapeutic activities and support project managers with technical needs.
• Implementation and Monitoring: Execute assigned technical activities according to internal quality standards. Evaluate beneficiaries' functional capacities and rehabilitation needs, develop individualized therapeutic plans, and provide rehabilitation services. Ensure a person-centered approach in care and maintain updated records of beneficiaries.
• Team Contribution: Facilitate communication and collaboration within the project team, sharing relevant information and participating in qualitative project analysis.
• Influence: Contribute to HI's recognition in rehabilitation through national and international conferences and mobilize technical resources as needed.
• Emergency Preparedness: Support the implementation of emergency preparedness measures and adapt work modalities during emergencies to ensure effective humanitarian response.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must hold a university degree in Occupational Therapy and have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in trauma management, acute/post-acute care, and rehabilitation of complex fractures, amputations, and spinal cord or peripheral injuries. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in clinical rehabilitation management and knowledge of HI's standards and guidelines for rehabilitation services. Strong communication skills, particularly in Spanish, are required, with English proficiency at a B1 level being desirable. Familiarity with data collection tools and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is essential. The candidate must also exhibit a commitment to ethical practices and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Educational Background:
A university degree in Occupational Therapy is mandatory for this position. The candidate should have a solid understanding of rehabilitation practices and standards, particularly in humanitarian contexts. Continuous professional development and training in relevant areas are encouraged to enhance clinical competencies.

Experience:
Candidates should possess at least 2 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation, particularly in managing trauma and providing care for individuals with complex needs. Experience in humanitarian settings and knowledge of rehabilitation standards are highly valued.

Languages:
Fluent Spanish is required for this position, while English at a B1 level is considered desirable. Proficiency in data collection tools and software is also necessary for effective communication and reporting.

Additional Notes:
This position is a professional contract with a duration of 6 months, subject to the approval and availability of project funds. The role is based in Puerto Cabello, with a requirement for travel. The start date for this position is August 1, 2026, and the salary will be in accordance with HI's remuneration system.
