Job Overview: The Associate Evaluation position within the Independent Evaluation Department (IEvD) at the EBRD is designed to enhance the Bank's performance through objective and evidence-based evaluations. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Associate Evaluation include acting as a team member for major evaluations, making substantial analytical contributions, drafting sections of reports, and providing quality assurance services. The Associate will be responsible for acquiring necessary data from various sources, preparing both quantitative and qualitative analyses, and resolving complex data integrity issues. They will present data effectively and seek innovative methods for data collection and analysis. Additionally, the Associate will contribute to departmental research, respond to requests for documents and data, oversee the evaluation process, prepare presentations for various audiences, and develop guidance on best practices. Other responsibilities may include administrative tasks and ad hoc duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in economics, finance, business studies, or a related field. A minimum of five years of experience in international organizations, particularly in evaluation roles, is required. Applicants should have a solid understanding of Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) and the EBRD's activities. Knowledge of evaluation or research methods, along with statistical analysis skills, is essential. Proficiency in handling large datasets and deriving insights through data analysis is necessary, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with tools such as Tableau, Access, Cognos, Stata, and MaxQDA is desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment are also required.
