Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Military Member S2 include:

• Representing the OSCE Mission at meetings of the Joint Control Commission, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Monitoring the security situation in the region and investigating incidents to provide accurate reports and recommendations.
• Contributing to the Mission’s reporting and documentation related to military and security issues.
• Developing proposals for confidence-building measures that enhance military cooperation and security in the region.
• Advising the Head of Mission and other members on military-related matters, ensuring informed decision-making.
• Collaborating closely with other military members and program managers to fulfill the Mission’s mandate effectively.
• Performing additional duties as required to support the overall objectives of the OSCE Mission.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a valid military officer status, with a minimum rank of Lieutenant Colonel, and must be serving on the active or reserve list. A first-level university degree in a relevant field is mandatory, along with a minimum of six years of relevant professional experience in military operations, arms control, or peacekeeping. Candidates should demonstrate strong negotiation skills and the ability to liaise effectively with governmental and military authorities. Proficiency in English and Russian is essential, with the ability to draft documents and brief on situations clearly and concisely. Cultural sensitivity, gender awareness, and the ability to work in diverse teams are also critical qualifications for this role.

Educational Background:
