Job Overview:
The Driver position at UNODC is crucial for ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of authorized personnel. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport authorized personnel to various locations as required.

  • Assist with logistical arrangements for meetings and events.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including managing vehicle logs and documentation.
  • Report any vehicle issues or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle environment.
  • Support facility management tasks as required, including minor repairs and maintenance.

Required Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with the local area and traffic regulations.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Basic computer skills for administrative tasks.

Educational Background:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Additional training in vehicle maintenance or logistics is a plus but not mandatory.

Experience:
No prior experience is required for this entry-level position, although any experience in driving or vehicle maintenance will be considered an advantage. Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to the organizational environment.

Languages:
Fluency in Arabic and French is mandatory, as these are the primary languages used in the region. Knowledge of English is considered an asset, as it may be beneficial for communication within the UN system and with international personnel.
