Job Overview:
The Senior Digital Innovation & AI Solution Expert Lead will play a crucial role in advancing UN-Habitat's digital ecosystem. This position involves strategic leadership in the design, governance, scaling, and continuous improvement of digital platforms that support engagement with Member States, partners, and stakeholders. The incumbent will oversee the enhancement of the corporate website, the WUF web ecosystem, and other related platforms, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of users and stakeholders. The role requires a deep understanding of digital transformation and AI integration, as well as the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in the development and implementation of innovative digital solutions. The expert will be responsible for ensuring that all digital products are inclusive and accessible, particularly for Persons with Disabilities, and will work closely with various teams to ensure seamless integration across platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for leading the strategic evolution and governance of UN-Habitat's digital platforms, ensuring interoperability across various systems. Key responsibilities include defining product requirements, implementation roadmaps, and digital service improvements. The expert will coordinate multiple teams of consultants, developers, and designers, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and stakeholder expectations. They will also incorporate inclusive web design standards, collaborate on the iterative development of digital tools, and identify opportunities for digital transformation and AI adoption. Additionally, the expert will monitor and maintain security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security across platforms, provide training to content focal points, and contribute technical expertise through workshops and presentations. They will lead the identification and deployment of AI capabilities, ensuring alignment with organizational needs.

Required Qualifications:
A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted. The position requires a minimum of 7 years of proven experience in web development, User Experience (UX) design, and digital strategy. Technical expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, and experience with prototyping tools such as Figma or Adobe XD is essential. Proven experience in Drupal is also required, along with a strong background in innovative technical leadership and multi-project management.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Engineering. A Bachelor’s degree may be acceptable if accompanied by additional qualifying experience. The educational background should reflect a strong foundation in technology and digital innovation, equipping the candidate with the necessary skills to lead complex digital projects.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in web development and digital strategy. Candidates should have a proven track record of innovative technical leadership, overseeing the planning and execution of multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in managing teams and collaborating with various stakeholders is crucial for success in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position, as it is one of the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Proficiency in French is also beneficial, as it is another working language of the UN. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively in both languages to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
