Job Overview:
The People Experience Assistant will be an integral part of the Human Resources People eXperience and Engagement team at CERN. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about human resources and eager to support a diverse community of students, graduates, and staff. The assistant will play a key role in shaping the employee journey by providing tailored HR support, services, and policies. The position requires a keen eye for detail and a genuine interest in HR matters, as well as a commitment to developing interpersonal skills and gaining a deep understanding of HR processes. The assistant will be responsible for ensuring efficient administration and communication for various HR processes, advising student and graduate populations on regulations and integration, and delivering engaging presentations on HR topics.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties of the People Experience Assistant include ensuring efficient, friendly, and reliable administration and communication for various HR processes and queries. The assistant will support HR professionals and their client departments, inform and advise student and graduate populations throughout their experience at CERN on several topics such as regulations and integration processes. Additionally, the assistant will be responsible for delivering engaging presentations on HR topics to a variety of audiences, mastering the swift administration of contractual actions for several populations, and maintaining discretion and confidentiality in all dealings. The role also involves promoting a positive atmosphere within teams and delivering high-quality work on time while fulfilling expectations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be nationals of a CERN Member or Associate Member State and should have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Human Resources, Administration, or a related field. The highest educational qualification required is a general secondary education diploma. It is important to note that applicants who have previously held a CERN fellow or graduate contract are not eligible for this position. Additionally, candidates with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree are also not eligible.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a general secondary education diploma. This foundational education is essential for understanding the HR processes and responsibilities associated with the role. The compensation includes a monthly stipend of 4687 Swiss Francs, which is tax-free, along with 30 days of paid leave per year and additional benefits such as comprehensive health insurance coverage, family allowances, and a relocation package depending on individual circumstances. On-the-job training and formal training, including language classes, will also be provided.
