Job Overview:
The Digital Fundraising Consultant position at UNICEF Pakistan is a mid-level role that focuses on driving digital fundraising initiatives. The consultant will be responsible for developing and executing innovative digital campaigns aimed at acquiring new donors and retaining existing ones. This role requires a strategic mindset to analyze performance metrics and generate actionable insights that will inform future campaigns. The consultant will work closely with various internal teams and external partners to optimize digital channels, ensuring that fundraising efforts are maximized to increase revenue and enhance donor lifetime value. The position is crucial for UNICEF Pakistan as it seeks to leverage digital platforms to expand its fundraising capabilities and reach a broader audience. The role is expected to last until the end of December 2026, with the potential for extension based on performance and organizational needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital fundraising strategies that align with UNICEF Pakistan's goals.
  • Lead the design and execution of performance-driven digital campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, email, and web platforms.
  • Analyze campaign performance data to generate insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, communications, and program staff, to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including donors and partners, to enhance fundraising efforts and build relationships.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in digital fundraising to keep UNICEF Pakistan at the forefront of innovation.
  • Prepare regular reports on fundraising performance and present findings to senior management.
  • Provide training and support to staff on digital fundraising tools and techniques.
  • Manage budgets for digital campaigns and ensure cost-effective use of resources. 1
  • Contribute to the overall strategic planning of UNICEF Pakistan's fundraising initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in digital fundraising, marketing, or a related field, with a strong track record of successful campaigns.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and web analytics.
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices and trends in the nonprofit sector.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively to develop engaging fundraising strategies.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree or additional certifications in digital marketing or fundraising is preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in digital fundraising or marketing is required. Experience working in the nonprofit sector, particularly with international organizations, is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Urdu or other local languages is considered an asset, as it will enhance communication with local stakeholders and donors.

Additional Notes:
This position is classified as a mid-level role under the International Consultant Agreement (ICA) framework. The contract is regular and ongoing, with a seniority level classified as LICA
  • The role is based in Islamabad, Pakistan, and may involve occasional travel within the country. Compensation and benefits will be commensurate with experience and in line with UNICEF's policies.
