Duties and Responsibilities:
The Nurse will participate in the daily clinical operations of the Medical Unit at MINURSO Headquarters and team sites. The Nurse will respond to emergency calls, assist Medical Officers in providing adequate care, and ensure effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. Additionally, the Nurse will escort patients during medical evacuations, perform diagnostic tests such as ECG and laboratory tests, and participate in the roster of medical personnel providing emergency services outside regular clinic hours. The role also involves reviewing immunization statuses, administering vaccinations, entering medical information into patient files, preparing medical statistics, and assisting in health education and promotion programs. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a Nursing diploma from an accredited institution or formal education/training in nursing, such as a registered Professional Nurse designation or equivalent. A minimum of five years of continuous clinical experience in nursing or as a first responder in a remote environment is required. Experience in UN mission administration, with knowledge of relevant UN administrative policies and procedures, or experience with medical facilities in an international setting is desirable. Additionally, candidates must hold certificates in CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support or equivalent emergency medical care qualifications.
