Job Overview:
The Programme Management Intern (Youth Engagement) position is designed for individuals who are passionate about youth empowerment and engagement. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of meaningful youth engagement initiatives, including the UN Youth Compass. This position requires a proactive approach to advance the work of various flagship programs and strategic initiatives at the United Nations Youth Office. The intern will assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating youth engagement activities, ensuring that the voices of young people are effectively represented in UN discussions and initiatives. The role also involves collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to develop innovative strategies for enhancing youth participation in global issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of youth engagement programs and initiatives, including workshops, forums, and outreach activities.
  • Support the development of materials and resources that promote youth participation and engagement.
  • Conduct research and analysis on youth-related issues to inform program development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with team members to organize events and activities that foster youth engagement in UN processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of youth engagement initiatives, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to youth engagement activities.
  • Engage with youth networks and organizations to promote collaboration and partnership opportunities.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on program strategies and objectives.

Required Qualifications:

Educational Background:
Candidates should be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program in a relevant field such as international relations, social sciences, development studies, or a related discipline. Experience:
