Job Overview: The MSF Access Campaign Officer position is designed for a passionate individual with experience in developing and implementing international public-facing campaigns aimed at improving access to health products for individuals living with diabetes. This role requires effective coordination across regional teams and external partners, as well as project management skills to work with a dedicated core team of technical, advocacy, policy, and communication colleagues. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a robust strategy and timeline for the campaign, selecting appropriate tools, and ensuring that campaign activities are coordinated across various regions. The position is situated within the advocacy and communication department, which consists of experts in advocacy, communication, digital strategies, and technical fields, and involves close collaboration with the regional hubs of the Access team on sexual and reproductive health issues.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Campaign Officer will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including: developing a comprehensive strategy and timeline for the campaign; coordinating campaign activities across different regions with relevant teams; collaborating with the communications team to create key messages, campaign materials, and actions, including establishing a cohesive campaign look-and-feel; supporting the collection and analysis of data for briefing papers, talking points, and reports to inform advocacy efforts; contributing to stakeholder engagement and partnership coordination; building and maintaining internal and external relationships to advance campaign activities; monitoring campaign deliverables, timelines, and outputs; and supporting digital and public engagement activities in conjunction with the communications team. Additionally, the Campaign Officer will be responsible for resource planning to ensure the effective execution of the campaign.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the MSF Access Campaign Officer position should possess a strong background in campaign management, advocacy, and communication. They should have proven experience in designing and implementing public-facing campaigns, particularly in the health sector. Strong project management skills, the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, and excellent communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate a commitment to MSF's humanitarian principles and values, as well as an understanding of the challenges faced by populations in need of healthcare access.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background is required for this position, typically including a degree in public health, international relations, communications, or a related field. Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within MSF and for the campaign. Proficiency in French is also highly desirable, given the organization's operations in French-speaking regions.
