Job Overview: The Digital Governance and Platforms (DGP) team within UNICEF’s Division of Global Communication and Advocacy (GCA) is responsible for managing UNICEF’s public-facing digital ecosystem. This position focuses on implementing structured governance workflows and mapping operational workflows across the newly established Website, Editorial and Governance (WEG) section. The consultant will work on two interconnected workstreams: assessing WEG section workflows for potential implementation in ServiceNow and coordinating the implementation and adoption of DGP governance services in ServiceNow. The role requires consistent tracking of progress against defined deliverables and effective collaboration with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful workflow implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and assess WEG section workflows for potential implementation in ServiceNow.
Coordinate the implementation and adoption of DGP governance services in ServiceNow (Service Gateway).
Track progress against defined deliverables and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement workflows.
Facilitate structured interviews and workshops for workflow discovery and assessment.
Evaluate ServiceNow feasibility and identify opportunities for AI and automation.
Consolidate findings into required deliverables and ensure alignment across diverse stakeholders.
Maintain communication and manage tasks effectively in a virtual work environment.
Provide regular updates on project status and deliverables to relevant stakeholders.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in digital governance, web management, or digital project coordination.
Proven experience in supporting the implementation of operational workflows and coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Strong understanding of digital governance frameworks and public-facing digital platforms.
Familiarity with UNICEF’s digital ecosystem and governance processes is a strong asset.
Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow and structured workflows is essential for this assignment.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a university degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Digital Governance, or related fields. Additional qualifications in Information Technology, Web Development, or related subjects are also relevant.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in digital governance, web management, or digital project coordination. Candidates should have a proven track record of supporting the implementation of operational workflows and coordinating initiatives involving multiple stakeholders. Experience in managing tasks remotely and maintaining communication in a virtual work environment is essential.
Languages: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is considered an asset. Candidates with prior work experience with UNICEF or other UN organizations are preferred.
