Job Overview:
As a Senior Digital Impact Associate, you will engage in specialized activities related to UNICEF's ICT systems, which encompass desktop administration, server operations, and both hardware and software management. Your role will involve providing technical support during the testing and implementation of new application system releases, modules, and functionalities, as well as performing systems administration tasks. This position requires skilled work and may involve procedural leadership for junior staff or serve as a focal point for specific systems projects. Depending on the context, the role may include supervisory responsibilities or be non-supervisory if it is highly technical in nature. You will be expected to contribute to ICT Office Customer Service Support, ICT Administration, Cybersecurity, and the General Protection of Digital Assets, as well as engage in Strategic Planning and Implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide ICT Office Customer Service Support to ensure effective communication and assistance to users.
  • Manage ICT Administration tasks, including maintaining hardware and software systems.
  • Implement Cybersecurity measures to protect digital assets and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Engage in strategic planning and implementation of ICT initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Offer technical support during the testing and implementation of new application systems, ensuring smooth transitions and functionality.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff in ICT-related tasks, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Serve as a focal point for specific systems projects, coordinating efforts and ensuring project goals are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, employing systematic methods of problem-solving.
  • Assess training needs and provide relevant training to staff to enhance their ICT skills and knowledge.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a minimum of secondary education in a related field. Additionally, at least 7 years of relevant work experience in information technology is required, with a focus on systematic troubleshooting and problem-solving methods. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Information Security Awareness, Troubleshooting, Problem Solving, and Assessing Training Needs. A strong understanding of ICT systems and their administration is essential for success in this role.

Educational Background:

Professional courses in information technology are highly desirable, as they will enhance the candidate's qualifications and readiness for the role. A background in ICT systems and administration is crucial for effective performance in this position.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in the field of information technology. This experience should include systematic methods of troubleshooting and problem-solving, as well as familiarity with ICT systems and their administration. Relevant experience at the country level, particularly in development, fragile settings, and humanitarian contexts, is highly valued.

Languages:
Proficient or fluent level of French is mandatory for this position. Additionally, knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, English, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is considered desirable and may enhance a candidate's application.
