Job Overview:
The Campaign Officer position is designed for a passionate individual with experience in developing and implementing international public-facing campaigns aimed at improving access to health products for individuals living with diabetes. This role requires effective coordination across regional teams and collaboration with external partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for project management and will work closely with a dedicated core team comprising technical, advocacy, policy, and communication experts. The Campaign Officer will play a crucial role in strategizing and executing a campaign that addresses the healthcare needs of diabetic patients, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Campaign Officer will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including: developing a comprehensive strategy and timeline for the campaign, selecting appropriate tools to facilitate the campaign at international, regional, and multi-country levels, coordinating campaign activities across various regions with relevant teams, collaborating with the communications team to create and define key messages, campaign materials, and actions, supporting the collection and analysis of data for briefing papers, talking points, and reports to inform advocacy efforts, contributing to stakeholder engagement and partnership coordination, building and maintaining internal and external relationships to advance campaign activities, monitoring campaign deliverables, timelines, and outputs, and supporting digital and public engagement activities in coordination with the communications team. The Campaign Officer will also be responsible for resource planning to ensure the campaign's success.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Campaign Officer position should possess a strong background in advocacy, communications, or public health, with a proven track record of successfully managing campaigns. They should demonstrate excellent project management skills, the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, and strong analytical and communication abilities. Familiarity with healthcare access issues, particularly related to diabetes, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should also have experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership development, as well as the capacity to adapt strategies based on evolving needs and contexts.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in public health, communications, international relations, or a related field is required for the Campaign Officer position. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may enhance the candidate's qualifications. Additional training or certifications in project management, advocacy, or health communication would be advantageous.

Experience:
The Campaign Officer should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in campaign management, advocacy, or public health. Experience working in international settings or with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate a history of successful project management and the ability to coordinate complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders and regions.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for the Campaign Officer position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Proficiency in French is highly desirable, given the organization's operations in French-speaking regions. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the regions served by MSF would be considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
This position is a full-time (100%) role on a short-term contract with the potential for extension. The starting date for the position is anticipated to be between June and July 202
  • The successful candidate will report to the Head of Advocacy & Communication and will be based in any MSF office, with a focus on collaboration with regional hubs. Compensation and benefits will align with the MSF entity establishing the contract.
