Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the IT Operations Assistant include:
Carrying out system maintenance tasks such as monitoring, diagnostics, and optimization to ensure systems are running effectively.
Maintaining technology, including repairs and configuration, in accordance with data security protocols.
Preparing files and systems for inventory and archives to ensure information accuracy.
Allocating tasks to colleagues and ensuring delivery to agreed standards and deadlines.
Responding to queries about technology and systems to assist WFP staff.
Providing standard training to end users on technology and systems.
Performing routine deployments of server hardware and software, including testing and problem identification.
Maintaining information records, updating web pages and databases.
Installing, operating, and maintaining telecommunications systems and equipment. 1
Supporting the development of training documentation and web content. 1
Suggesting improvements to methods and processes for continuous IT service improvement. 1
Following emergency response processes to support food assistance needs.
