Job Overview:
The primary mission of the position is to ensure the coordination of ACF's interventions in the Ouaddai, Sila, and Wadi-Fira provinces. The role involves coordinating the implementation of ACF's strategy in the intervention area, overseeing the execution of programs in the Sila and Ouaddai provinces, supervising teams within the intervention zone, facilitating relationships with coordination teams, representing ACF, and liaising with partners, authorities, UN agencies, and NGOs in the area. Additionally, the position requires ensuring reporting and communication, maintaining safety and security in the intervention zone, and conducting frequent field visits to the assigned area of responsibility.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for this position include coordinating the implementation of ACF's strategy in the designated intervention area, overseeing the execution of programs in the Sila and Ouaddai provinces, supervising and managing teams within the intervention zone, facilitating relationships with coordination teams, representing ACF in interactions with partners, authorities, UN agencies, and NGOs, ensuring effective reporting and communication, maintaining safety and security protocols in the intervention area, and conducting regular field visits to monitor and assess program implementation. The role also involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a BAC+4/5 degree in a field related to humanitarian action, such as international relations, political science, international cooperation, or technical training relevant to one of ACF's intervention sectors. Additionally, candidates should possess 2 to 5 years of experience in managing humanitarian or development projects, ideally with prior experience in a similar role or with Action contre la Faim. Significant experience in team management and security in a similar context is also required, along with strong planning and organizational skills, autonomy, and adaptability in a multicultural environment.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a minimum of a BAC+4/5 degree in a relevant field related to humanitarian action, such as international relations, political science, or international cooperation. Technical training related to ACF's intervention sectors is also acceptable. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and effectively managing projects in challenging environments.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have between 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in managing humanitarian or development projects. This experience should ideally include previous roles in similar positions, particularly with Action contre la Faim or other reputable humanitarian organizations. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record in team management and security oversight in comparable contexts, showcasing their ability to lead and coordinate effectively in challenging situations.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and in the field. Proficiency in English is also required, as it facilitates communication with international partners and stakeholders. Additional language skills may be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse communities and partners.

  • The gross monthly salary ranges from 2597 to 2968 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th-month salary. Non-French citizens are entitled to a retirement insurance reimbursement of 16% of their gross monthly salary. There is a 6% increase in the base salary every 12 months of continuous contract. Monthly per diem and living expenses amount to 838 euros net, paid on the ground, along with a monthly contextual allowance of 300 euros. An annual child allowance of 1500 euros per child present in the home country is also provided, with a ceiling of 6000 euros per year. Transportation and accommodation costs are covered, including collective housing arrangements. Medical coverage includes 100% reimbursement of health insurance contributions and repatriation insurance, covering medical expenses up to one month after the end of the contract. Salary maintenance provisions are in place for illness, maternity, and paternity. Employees are entitled to 25 days of annual leave and 20 rest and recuperation days per year, with travel expenses covered for breaks and a flat allowance of 215 euros per RnR.
