Job Posting Organization:
The Office of Supply Chain Management (OSCM) is part of the Department of Operational Support (DOS) within the United Nations. The DOS was established to provide comprehensive operational support and advisory services to various entities across the UN Secretariat, including departments, field missions, and regional commissions. OSCM is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and responsiveness of supply chain solutions for global partners and clients. The organization encompasses several divisions, including Logistics, Procurement, and Aviation Safety, and is committed to delivering end-to-end supply chain management services.

Job Overview:

Interns will work closely with OSCM, contributing to projects that aim to enhance the organization's communication strategies and visual identity. The role involves engaging in various design tasks, including creating corporate identity products, developing content for presentations and briefings, and supporting website development. Interns will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of professionals, participate in brainstorming sessions, and contribute to the overall mission of OSCM by applying their graphic design skills to improve user experience and organizational branding.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to: designing core identity products that reflect the corporate vision and values; preparing content for corporate briefings, presentations, and fact sheets; supporting website development by working on layout and content; providing design support for print and online products; collaborating with team members to maintain and update SharePoint and iSeek pages; creating a communication plan for social media platforms; enhancing visual appeal and user experience through graphic design; incorporating interactive elements into designs; participating in brainstorming sessions to generate new communication ideas; and assisting in the creation of templates or style guides for future communications.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for the internship, applicants must meet one of the following criteria: be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); be in the final academic year of a university degree program (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent); or have graduated with a university degree. The organization welcomes applicants from diverse educational and professional backgrounds, particularly those with studies or experiences in graphic design and related fields. Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva Pro is essential, while knowledge of data analysis tools is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a degree in a relevant field, such as graphic design, communications, or a related discipline. The internship is open to individuals at various educational levels, including those in graduate programs or final year undergraduate students.
