Job Overview: The Human Resource (HR) Assistant position is integral to the ILO's Decent Work Team and Office for the Caribbean, specifically supporting various projects in Haiti, including the Peacebuilding Fund Project and the PROFIT Project. The HR Assistant will provide essential administrative and operational support to ensure the effective implementation of HR actions and processes. This role requires a proactive approach to managing HR-related tasks, ensuring compliance with established procedures, and maintaining accurate records. The HR Assistant will work closely with project staff and managers, delivering client-oriented services and responding to HR inquiries. Duties and Responsibilities: The HR Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: providing specialized HR administrative support for project implementation, initiating HR actions, processing personnel-related requests, and ensuring compliance with HR rules and regulations. The role involves delivering client-oriented HR support services, maintaining and updating HR files and databases, monitoring HR-related aspects of project implementation, and assisting in recruitment processes. The HR Assistant will also support onboarding activities, compile and review HR data, and contribute to the preparation of reports and statistics. Additionally, the HR Assistant will perform other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor, ensuring that all HR processes are executed efficiently and effectively.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of office support experience, particularly in HR administration. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and the capacity to work independently while meeting deadlines. Proficiency in standard office software, including Microsoft Office applications and database tools, is required. Candidates should also exhibit a client-oriented approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Educational Background: The minimum educational requirement for this position is the completion of secondary school education. Additional qualifications or certifications in human resources or related fields would be advantageous and may enhance a candidate's application.
