Job Overview:
The ET Consultant (Windows Server Administrator) position at the World Bank Group is designed for individuals who are eager to contribute to the organization's mission of ending extreme poverty and boosting shared prosperity. The role involves working within the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit, which plays a crucial role in delivering transformative information and technologies to staff across more than 150 locations. The consultant will be embedded within the Windows Server team, focusing on managing and maintaining enterprise Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance. This position requires a proactive approach to monitoring and optimizing infrastructure performance, contributing to incident and change management, and collaborating with various technology teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud, automation, and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security strategies. The consultant will also be involved in disaster recovery planning and execution, supporting the World Bank Group's digital transformation agenda by championing innovative solutions and automation to enhance IT operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for a comprehensive set of duties, including: managing and maintaining enterprise Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) both on-premises and in public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and OCI; deploying Windows servers using certified images and performing OS configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning; executing regular OS patching and vulnerability remediation in accordance with World Bank Group security standards; administering Active Directory, NTFS/CIFS share permissions, and Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools; implementing monitoring and alerting systems using CrowdStrike and Splunk, including the creation of dashboards and operational visualizations; applying PowerShell scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline and automate infrastructure operations; contributing to incident, problem, and change management via Service CMDB; maintaining accurate system and procedural documentation; and demonstrating ownership in resolving client issues promptly while participating in the team's on-call production support rotation.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the IT field. Required qualifications include experience in Windows Administration, the ability to develop Infrastructure as Code templates using Terraform, and experience in deploying and managing Windows servers across various platforms. Additionally, candidates should have experience managing Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Clusters, as well as Active Directory Domains, users, groups, and group policies. Familiarity with Windows Server Administration on VMWare, AWS, OCI, and Azure Cloud is essential, along with a strong understanding of security and compliance measures related to Windows servers.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Candidates with equivalent experience in the IT field may also be considered, particularly those who have demonstrated proficiency in Windows Administration and related technologies.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in Windows Server Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should have a solid background in managing enterprise Windows Server environments and familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and OCI. Experience in security and compliance, as well as operating in SAFe Agile environments, is also highly desirable.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered a plus, although specific preferred languages are not listed in the job description.
