Job Overview:
The Grant Officer plays a crucial role in managing institutional grants for the Sudan mission throughout the entire project cycle. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with donor requirements, supporting the development of reports and proposals, and facilitating effective coordination among program teams, support services, and donors. The Grant Officer will be involved in various activities related to humanitarian mine action (HMA), physical rehabilitation, inclusive humanitarian action (IHA), and logistics. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Grant Officer's responsibilities include:
  • Contributing to national and/or regional strategies that align with global objectives and maintaining grant tracking tools to ensure proper documentation and archiving of contracts.
  • Supporting the development of concept notes and proposals, including the creation of logical frameworks, narratives, and necessary annexes.
  • Facilitating grant kick-off and closure meetings, sharing donor requirements with relevant teams, and monitoring compliance with donor rules while following up on reporting schedules, indicators, and deliverables.
  • Compiling documentation for audits and addressing recommendations from audits with relevant departments.
  • Coordinating and following up on consortium projects and partnerships, particularly with GFFO and CDCS.

  • Providing capacity building for national staff and offering technical assistance on donor compliance and grant management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a degree in international relations, humanitarian affairs, or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in grants management with institutional donors is required. Proven experience in proposal development and donor reporting is essential.
