Job Overview: The Reporting and Communication Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing the visibility and communication of FAO's projects and initiatives in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. This position requires close collaboration with various branches of the Office of Communications (OCC) and other stakeholders to develop and disseminate communication materials that effectively convey FAO's messages to external audiences, including donors, humanitarian agencies, and the general public. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Reporting and Communication Specialist include:
Developing visibility products for FAO WBGS, such as signage, posters, videos, and brochures, to promote messaging to external stakeholders.
Creating informational materials, including presentations, brochures, infographics, and speeches for various audiences and events.
Capturing and developing human interest stories through interviews, photos, and videos.
Coordinating with regional and global communication teams to ensure key messages are shared effectively.
Supporting donor relations by creating content packages and updating messaging during key meetings.
Compiling internal situation reports and collating information for digital assets.
Managing external photography and videography consultants and ensuring compliance with FAO standards.
Contributing to the preparation and review of progress and terminal reports, ensuring quality and alignment with donor requirements.
Performing other related duties as required, including maintaining media relations and ensuring compliance with FAO communication policies.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in Communications, Social/Political Sciences, International Relations, or a closely related field. Those with a bachelor's degree must have two additional years of relevant professional experience. A minimum of two years of professional experience in similar functions is required, along with a working knowledge (Level C) of English.
