Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control entry to WFP premises, ensuring that all individuals are screened and that building passes are issued accurately to maintain a secure environment.
• Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential hazards, such as fire risks or unsafe conditions, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Report any security breaches or incidents to the supervisor promptly, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken in accordance with established protocols.
• In the event of an emergency, utilize communication systems to alert supervisors and coordinate with local emergency services to provide timely assistance.
• Maintain a high level of physical fitness and readiness to respond to emergencies, including the use of fire equipment and self-defense techniques.
• Engage with staff and visitors courteously, demonstrating professionalism and respect for diverse backgrounds.
• Participate in ongoing security training and adhere to the United Nations Security Management System (UNSMS) standards.
• Stay informed about the local area and potential security threats to enhance situational awareness.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary school education, with additional training in security guard practices considered an advantage. A minimum of two years of experience in a security-related role is required, demonstrating a solid understanding of essential security procedures and protocols. Candidates should possess strong observational skills, the ability to identify potential threats, and knowledge of how to respond to emergencies effectively. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. A high sense of responsibility, emotional stability, and physical fitness are also critical attributes for this role.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is the completion of secondary school education. Experience:
