Job Overview: The position of International Consultant for the Structure of Earnings Survey (SES) involves validating microdata from the SES in Georgia, ensuring compliance with quality assurance requirements. The consultant will provide guidance on the calculation and analysis of key indicators and prepare a detailed outline for the SES statistical report. This role is crucial for supporting the UN Women Country Office in Georgia as it seeks to enhance women's economic empowerment through accurate data collection and analysis. Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for validating the SES microdata, ensuring data quality checks and identifying issues for improvement. They will guide the calculation and validation of key SES indicators, ensuring compliance with data analysis standards. The consultant will prepare a detailed outline for the SES statistical report, including chapters and a tabulation plan for data analysis. They will develop the report based on the agreed outline, collaborating with Geostat to incorporate inputs for the methodology chapter and statistical tables. The consultant will deliver validated microdata, key indicators, a statistical report outline, a draft report, and a final report incorporating feedback from UN Women and Geostat.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with nine years of qualifying experience may be accepted. The position requires at least seven years of professional experience in earnings and/or business statistics at the national or international level, as well as experience in designing and implementing quantitative enterprise surveys. Proven experience with statistical software such as STATA, SAS, or R is essential, and prior experience with development agencies or the United Nations is considered an asset.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, or a related field is required for this position. In lieu of an advanced degree, a first-level university degree combined with nine years of relevant experience may be accepted.
