Job Overview:
The Líder de equipo de educación will play a crucial role in implementing Education in Emergencies activities according to NRC's programmatic strategy in the designated area or office. This position requires collaboration with education managers and coordinators to lead the support for various strategies and actions being developed in the territory. The leader will maintain direct relationships with local entities to coordinate education-related processes and will have a strategic role in organizing and supervising the territories involved. Additionally, the position is responsible for budget execution of projects, ensuring adherence to established parameters for efficient and quality implementation. The role demands a proactive approach to identifying emerging issues that may affect project implementation and requires the ability to prepare periodic progress reports and other documentation as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Líder de equipo de educación will manage project personnel and implement the education project action plan, including activities, budget, and documentation. Daily monitoring of project implementation progress is essential, ensuring compliance with NRC policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines. The leader will ensure that projects are directed towards participants based on identified needs in the territories, exploring and evaluating new and improved intervention methods. Responsibilities also include promoting technical improvement ideas, identifying emerging issues that could impact project actions, and preparing periodic progress reports. The leader will contribute to capacity development for project staff by identifying knowledge and skill gaps and strategizing for the transfer of key skills. Collaboration with local authorities and relevant stakeholders is crucial, as is promoting the rights of internally displaced and repatriated individuals according to advocacy strategies. Specific responsibilities include ensuring compliance with strategies, tools, manuals, and guidelines for project assistants under supervision, supporting the development of methodological strategies for pedagogical activities, and ensuring that supervised teams have the necessary skills and tools for program implementation. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a professional background in Social Sciences and/or Education, with a specialization in project coordination or management in humanitarian contexts. A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in similar roles within humanitarian aid is required, along with documented results related to the responsibilities of the position. Candidates should have intermediate knowledge of the English language and experience working in complex and volatile contexts. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management for data handling is essential, as well as a solid understanding of project execution, monitoring, and evaluation methodologies. Experience in Education in Emergencies and working with vulnerable populations is crucial, along with knowledge of team-building methodologies and the Colombian educational system's structure and public policy for vulnerable populations. Familiarity with international humanitarian standards in education is also valued.

Educational Background:
A professional degree in Social Sciences or Education, with a focus on areas such as Sociology, Anthropology, or Pedagogy, is required. A specialization in project coordination or management within the humanitarian sector is highly desirable.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of work experience in similar roles within humanitarian contexts, demonstrating a proven track record of results related to the responsibilities of the position.
