Job Description
Job Posting Organization:
The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is a partnership that includes governments, intergovernmental organizations, private sector representatives, and members of civil society. Established to address the urgent need for integrated climate and clean air solutions, the CCAC focuses on reducing emissions of short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) such as methane, black carbon, HFCs, and tropospheric ozone. The CCAC is hosted by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) at the Economy Division in Paris. The coalition has been instrumental in promoting international cooperation and action on climate change and air quality, with a mission to enhance the effectiveness of policies and initiatives aimed at reducing SLCP emissions. The CCAC has been operational for several years and has established itself as a key player in the global effort to combat climate change and improve air quality, with a focus on fast action and measurable results. • Sustained Accelerator Programme Adoption and Institutional Continuity: Develop sustainability, financial, and institutionalization plans for the Accelerator program and related projects beyond CCAC funding.
  • Strengthened Long-Term Climate Leadership and Strategic Engagement: Produce strategic engagement materials linking national implementation with international processes, establish bilateral partnerships on super pollutant mitigation, and coordinate participation in key international forums. The coordinator will ensure that all deliverables are submitted electronically to the CCAC Secretariat and consulted with SEMARNAT/INECC.
