Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: conducting desk research on LDC graduation and related vulnerabilities; performing statistical and econometric analyses using international datasets; providing research assistance through literature reviews and empirical analysis; assisting in the formulation of policy conclusions; and participating in online meetings and training sessions. Interns must adhere to UN regulations and directives, ensuring that all materials produced during the internship are submitted to the organization. They are also expected to maintain confidentiality and respect the impartiality of the UN, refraining from any conduct that could negatively impact the organization.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent) or be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's level). Additionally, candidates should be computer literate in standard software applications, familiar with statistics and economic analysis (preferably R or Stata), and demonstrate a keen interest in UN work and commitment to its ideals.
