Job Overview:
The role of the Oficial de Finanzas is crucial in supporting the financial operations of the organization. Duties and Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include supporting the implementation of the support function portfolio according to the action plan, preparing and developing status reports required by management, ensuring proper filing of documents, and promoting ideas to strengthen support functions. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of financial, administrative, tax regulations, and internal control standards of NRC, as well as donor guidelines. Specific responsibilities include contributing to the development and monitoring of the overall budget, providing technical input for proposal consolidation, preparing and adjusting project budgets in coordination with program teams and budget holders, and ensuring timely financial closure in accordance with donor regulations. The Oficial de Finanzas will also systematize financial process information in the Uni4 system, propose financial training topics, and interact with field teams to monitor administrative and financial processes, ensuring compliance with donor requirements. Additionally, the role includes supporting implementing partners in adjusting administrative, financial, accounting, and budgeting processes during regular monitoring or audit reviews, attending administrative and financial audits, and ensuring compliance with project management cycle stages in financial matters for all projects and agreements in the area.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration, or related fields. A minimum of three years of experience in similar roles within humanitarian contexts is required, along with prior experience working in complex and volatile environments. Basic knowledge of the English language is necessary, and candidates should demonstrate competencies, knowledge, and experience relevant to the context. A diploma, specialization, or master's degree in related fields is desirable, as well as knowledge of accounting software and International Financial Reporting Standards. Experience in budget management, project monitoring, and evaluation is essential, along with proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and financial management software.
