Job Overview: The position of Content Production Consultant within UNICEF's Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) is crucial for creating high-quality, compelling content that enhances UNICEF's brand and drives engagement with supporters. The consultant will be involved in various projects, including emergency response content, impact stories, and materials for high-value donor engagement. The role requires remote collaboration to conceptualize, plan, coordinate, draft creative briefs, script, organize shoots, and direct crews, ensuring that all content aligns with UNICEF's standards and effectively communicates the organization's mission and impact.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will undertake a range of tasks categorized into three main areas: Producers, Production, and Editing/Post-production. In the Producers category, responsibilities include researching issues and stories, writing briefs, coordinating with crews, drafting scripts, and ensuring all content meets UNICEF's ethical and technical specifications. In the Production category, the consultant will produce high-quality multimedia assets, shoot video material, and package raw materials for editing. The Editing and Post-production category involves professional video editing, creating graphics, and ensuring all materials are tailored for various platforms. The consultant will also manage approvals and ensure compliance with UNICEF's workflows and production toolkits.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a first-level university degree in fields such as Marketing, Communications, Humanities, or Journalism. Additional training in related fields is considered an asset. A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in multimedia and communications is required, along with proven experience in all facets of multimedia production. Experience working with creative teams, scriptwriting, and producing video content for high-pressure environments is desirable. Familiarity with project management and working in developing or emergency environments is also beneficial.
Educational Background: A first-level university degree in Marketing, Communications, Humanities, Journalism, or a related technical field is required. Additional training in a relevant field is advantageous and can enhance a candidate's profile.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in multimedia and communications. Candidates should have proven experience in multimedia production, including working with professional photographers, videographers, and writers. Experience in project management and working in developing or emergency environments is also valuable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, while knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is considered an asset. This linguistic capability is essential for effective communication and engagement with diverse audiences.
Additional Notes: The consultancy is structured as a Long-Term Agreement (LTA) lasting three years, with contracts issued based on service requirements. Payment will be made upon completion of deliverables, and UNICEF will cover any necessary travel costs separately if travel is required. The consultant must use their own equipment and ensure compliance with UNICEF's ethical guidelines when working in the field.
