Job Overview:
The Driver position at WFP involves providing safe and efficient transportation services for authorized personnel and commodities. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Driver will be responsible for the following duties:

• Provide transportation for authorized personnel, ensuring adherence to safety and security protocols.
• Assist with basic translation during transportation when necessary.
• Maintain accurate vehicle log books and report mechanical status to the supervisor.
• Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary travel authorizations and supplies.
• Follow established rules for field deliveries and report any issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Perform basic office tasks such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining stores when required.
• Deliver and collect various items, manage mailing services, and handle payment of office bills as needed.
• Demonstrate a client-oriented approach and maintain a high level of responsibility and courtesy in all interactions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school education.
• Formal driver’s training with a valid driver’s license/certification to operate assigned vehicles.
• A demonstrated safe driving record is essential.
• Knowledge of driving rules, local roads, and security issues is required.
• Basic skills in first aid and emergency assistance are desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Strong communication skills and a client-oriented approach are necessary for this role.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is the completion of secondary school education. Additionally, candidates must have formal driver’s training and hold a valid driver’s license that complies with local regulations. Experience:
Candidates should have at least two years of work experience as a driver, preferably within an international organization, embassy, or UN system.
