Job Overview: The Driver position at WFP involves providing safe and efficient transportation services for authorized personnel and commodities. Duties and Responsibilities: The Driver will be responsible for the following duties:
Provide transportation for authorized personnel, ensuring adherence to safety and security protocols.
Assist with basic translation during transportation when necessary.
Maintain accurate vehicle log books and report mechanical status to the supervisor.
Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary travel authorizations and supplies.
Follow established rules for field deliveries and report any issues to the supervisor immediately.
Perform basic office tasks such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining stores when required.
Deliver and collect various items, manage mailing services, and handle payment of office bills as needed.
Demonstrate a client-oriented approach and maintain a high level of responsibility and courtesy in all interactions.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
Completion of secondary school education.
Formal driver’s training with a valid driver’s license/certification to operate assigned vehicles.
A demonstrated safe driving record is essential.
Knowledge of driving rules, local roads, and security issues is required.
Basic skills in first aid and emergency assistance are desirable.
