Job Overview:
The General Service Support position is a temporary role within the ILO Office for Türkiye, designed to provide senior-level operational and administrative support to the Office Director. The incumbent will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that include managing the Director's agenda, coordinating travel and logistics, and ensuring effective communication within the office and with external partners. This role requires a high degree of independence and the ability to navigate complex operational matters while adhering to established policies and procedures. The incumbent will play a crucial role in maintaining transparency and efficiency in the office's operations, contributing to the overall mission of the ILO in promoting labor rights and decent work in Türkiye.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will undertake a variety of administrative and operational support services, including but not limited to: managing the Director's calendar and scheduling appointments based on urgency; coordinating travel arrangements and ensuring compliance with visa and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security requirements; preparing and finalizing correspondence for the Director; maintaining up-to-date contact lists of key stakeholders; organizing meetings and events, including preparing necessary documentation and taking minutes; providing translation and interpretation services as needed; maintaining efficient filing systems; and ensuring timely provision of reports and documents to the Director. The role also involves liaising with internal and external contacts to facilitate service delivery and resolve complex issues, as well as performing other relevant duties as assigned by the Director.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a completion of secondary school education and training in general administration and office support. A minimum of six years of relevant work experience in general administration and office support is required, including experience in providing senior-level support services. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is also necessary. Candidates should demonstrate good knowledge of operational areas and possess strong PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications. Additionally, candidates should exhibit good drafting skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail, along with the capacity to work in a multicultural environment and demonstrate gender-sensitive behavior.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is the completion of secondary school education. Candidates with additional training in areas related to general administration and office support will be preferred, as this training will enhance their ability to perform the duties required of the role effectively.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of six years of experience in general administration and office support work. This experience should include providing various senior-level support services, which are critical for the effective functioning of the office. Experience working with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is also essential, as it will facilitate the management of administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.

Languages:
Candidates must have an excellent command of one of the official languages of the ILO, which include English, French, and Spanish. Additionally, a working knowledge of another official language of the Organization or an official national language of Türkiye is required, as this will aid in communication with diverse stakeholders and enhance the effectiveness of the role.
