Job Overview:
The Associate Senior Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in the World Bank Group's mission by leading the design and implementation of integrated, AI-ready technology solutions. This position requires a high degree of autonomy and involves synthesizing business, information, and technical perspectives to create scalable architectures that align with enterprise principles. The role is essential for ensuring interoperability, stability, usability, and high availability in distributed environments, thereby enabling corporate application teams to enhance their delivery capabilities. The position is situated within the Corporate Application Delivery Optimization team, which focuses on optimizing corporate application development and improving developer productivity through modern development tools, application frameworks, cloud-native practices, and agile methodologies. The Associate Senior Solutions Architect is expected to perform advanced-level research and analysis in modern software engineering practices, oversee complex projects, and propose robust technical solutions to moderately complex problems in cloud optimization and AI enablement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Associate Senior Solutions Architect include designing scalable, cloud-native architecture solutions that meet client needs and adhere to industry standards. The architect will develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture designs, integration patterns, and platform standards to facilitate knowledge sharing across the organization. Establishing architectural guardrails for both pro-code and low-code/no-code platforms is also a critical responsibility. The architect will evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks, particularly those related to AI integrations, to enhance solution performance and reliability. They will execute architectural reviews to ensure compliance with DevSecOps best practices and organizational modernization goals. Additionally, the architect will support stakeholder engagement by communicating the organization’s solutions architecture vision and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into high-performance product specifications. The role may also involve mentoring junior staff and providing technical guidance to engineering teams.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Associate Senior Solutions Architect position must possess a Master's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on architectural experience within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and enterprise low-code/pro-code platforms, particularly OutSystems and Power Platform. Proven ability to design and document scalable technology solutions that integrate hardware, software, data, and network systems across distributed environments is essential. Strong technical knowledge in evaluating functionality and compatibility across diverse technology stacks is also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree combined with significant relevant experience may be acceptable. Candidates should have a strong foundation in software engineering principles and practices, as well as familiarity with modern development tools and cloud technologies.

Experience:
The position requires a significant level of experience, specifically a minimum of 8 years for candidates with a Master's degree or at least 10 years for those with a Bachelor's degree. This experience should include hands-on architectural design and implementation within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and familiarity with enterprise low-code/pro-code platforms. Candidates should also have experience in conducting architectural reviews and assessments of emerging technologies, as well as working within Agile teams to deliver business value while maintaining architectural integrity.
