Job Overview:
The Donor Review Manager position is situated within the Anti-Fraud Anti-Corruption and Donor Review Management Branch of WFP’s Risk Management Division (RMD) in Rome. This role is crucial as WFP relies heavily on funding from government partners, who frequently conduct assessments of the organization. The Donor Review Management unit was established to streamline the management of these reviews, ensuring timely responses and consistent handling of donor requests. The incumbent will oversee the centralized Donor Review Management function, ensuring adherence to corporate requirements and fostering constructive relationships with internal stakeholders and the donor community. The role demands strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while ensuring that donor reviews are conducted efficiently and with high quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Donor Review Manager will be responsible for the central management and coordination of formal donor reviews. Key duties include leading the end-to-end management of donor reviews, ensuring compliance with corporate requirements, identifying key stakeholders, and building relationships with both internal and external parties. The incumbent will supervise the documentation collection process, manage deadlines, and ensure that all relevant parties are informed throughout the review process. Additionally, the manager will lead the resolution process post-review, coach a team of donor review analysts, and prioritize reviews based on importance and risk level. The role also involves analyzing donor review findings to identify gaps and recommend improvements, providing technical advice during donor agreement drafting, and developing corporate guidelines and standard clauses to enhance efficiency. Reporting on donor review progress and ensuring the donor review database is up to date are also critical responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, or a first university degree with additional years of relevant experience. Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant, or Certified Internal Auditor are desirable. The role requires a minimum of eight years of progressively responsible professional experience in audit, accounting, compliance, finance, or risk management, with experience in the WFP or UN system being an advantage. Essential skills include partnership and coordination, analytical and evaluative abilities, resourcefulness, and excellent communication skills. The ability to work effectively in a team and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders is crucial.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree in a relevant subject such as Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Alternatively, a first university degree in the same subjects, combined with additional years of relevant professional experience, is acceptable. Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or CIA are highly desirable and will enhance a candidate's profile.

Experience:
The position requires at least eight years of post-graduate relevant experience in progressively responsible roles related to audit, accounting, compliance, finance, risk management, or similar fields. Experience within the WFP or the UN system is considered advantageous, as it provides familiarity with the organizational context and operational frameworks.

Languages:
Fluency in English (level C) is mandatory, along with intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language, which may include Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, or Portuguese. Proficiency in additional languages can be beneficial and enhance communication with diverse stakeholders.
