Job Overview: The Project Release Management Coordinator will play a crucial role within the Chief Financial Officer Division, specifically under the Finance Strategy 2027 initiative aimed at enhancing core enabling and assurance services. The position focuses on streamlining financial service management through the implementation of corporate service management tools, which will facilitate a single portal for staff to request financial services and inquiries. The coordinator will be responsible for leading change management activities, ensuring that staff are well-informed and engaged with new processes and tools. This role requires a proactive approach to improve organizational insights and enhance user experience when accessing financial services. The coordinator will also support the design and delivery of training programs, ensuring that all staff are equipped with the necessary skills to utilize new digital services effectively. Overall, this position is integral to the successful adoption of new technologies and processes within the organization, contributing to WFP's mission of delivering effective humanitarian assistance.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Release Management Coordinator will have several key responsibilities, including:
Leading change management activities by developing and implementing a structured change management plan, monitoring deliverables such as communications, training, stakeholder engagement, and change impact assessments.
Assessing the impact of changes and raising awareness among users and stakeholders about new processes to ensure understanding and engagement.
Supporting the go-live monitoring of digital services and gathering user feedback for continuous improvement.
Assisting in the business requirements gathering process and evaluating the feasibility of new digital services.
Leading training efforts by identifying skill gaps, preparing training sessions, and developing training materials through corporate learning platforms.
Performing additional duties as required to support the overall objectives of the CFO Division and the successful implementation of digital services.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced degree in Public or Business Administration, Business Management, Operations Management, or related fields. Alternatively, a first university degree with additional years of relevant work experience may be considered. The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in a related capacity, demonstrating a solid understanding of change management principles and methodologies. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships. Organizational skills and a strategic mindset are crucial for planning and executing change management initiatives effectively. Familiarity with project management approaches and corporate service management tools is advantageous, as is knowledge of financial processes and WFP operations.
Educational Background: An advanced degree in one or more of the following disciplines is preferred: Public Administration, Business Administration, Business Management, Operations Management, or related areas. A first university degree combined with relevant work experience may also be acceptable. Continuous professional development and training in change management or related fields will be beneficial.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 8 years of postgraduate experience in progressively responsible roles related to change management, project management, or financial services. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of successfully leading change initiatives and managing complex projects within an organizational context. Experience in the humanitarian sector or with WFP operations will be considered an asset, as it provides valuable insights into the unique challenges faced by the organization.
Languages: Fluency in English (level C) is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of a second official UN language, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, or WFP’s working language, Portuguese, is considered an advantage and will enhance the candidate's profile.
