Job Overview:
The consultant will provide technical implementation support for the rollout and operationalization of the UNFPA Supply Chain Control Tower and Supply Chain Orchestration and Analytics (SCOA) framework. This role involves working closely with Country Offices (COs) and Regional Offices (ROs) to implement Control Tower dashboards, orchestration workflows, and supply chain analytics tools. The consultant will also be responsible for capacity-building initiatives, ensuring that supply chain personnel are equipped with the necessary skills to utilize these tools effectively. The position requires a mobile technical expert who can adapt to various operational contexts and provide hands-on support to enhance supply chain management processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for several key areas:
  • Control Tower Implementation Support: This includes supporting the operational rollout of the Control Tower platform, onboarding Country Offices, assisting in integrating insights into supply chain management processes, and providing technical assistance to procurement and inventory teams.
  • Country-Level Supply Chain Analytics Support: The consultant will analyze procurement and inventory datasets, develop dashboards for monitoring supply chain performance, and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Capacity Strengthening and Training: The consultant will deliver training sessions on Control Tower tools, coach supply chain personnel, and develop training materials.
  • Knowledge Management and Continuous Improvement: Documenting lessons learned, developing operational guidance, and contributing to analytical studies will be part of the role.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitating coordination between SCMU and country personnel, supporting collaboration with external partners, and contributing to resource mobilization efforts are also key responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced degree (minimum Master’s degree or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Logistics, or a related field. Professional certifications in data analytics or business intelligence are considered an asset. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain analytics, logistics, procurement data analysis, and operational supply chain management. Experience with ERP systems and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is highly desirable, as is experience working with international organizations or in the development sector.

Educational Background:
An advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or Logistics is required. Professional certifications in data analytics or business intelligence are advantageous and will enhance a candidate's profile.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in areas such as supply chain analytics, logistics, procurement data analysis, and operational supply chain management. Candidates should have experience with ERP systems and data visualization tools, as well as a background in working with international organizations or development sector supply chains.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. A working knowledge of French is considered an asset and may enhance communication with diverse stakeholders.
