Job Overview: The Roving Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM) Coordinator is tasked with leading the implementation and oversight of the CFM in NRC Ethiopia. This role is pivotal in ensuring that feedback from project participants is systematically collected, recorded, analyzed, and utilized to enhance the quality, safety, and relevance of NRC's programs. The coordinator serves as the country-level focal point for CFM, providing direct technical support to Area Offices (AOs) through regular field visits. The position is designed to ensure that feedback is managed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and NRC standards, with a particular focus on the safe handling of sensitive feedback. The coordinator also plays a vital role in fostering a culture of Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA) across NRC Ethiopia, ensuring that communities have access to safe and trusted feedback channels and that their concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Roving CFM Coordinator has a comprehensive set of responsibilities that include: ensuring adherence to NRC policies related to CFM and CEA; supporting the rollout and continuous improvement of CFM systems and tools; ensuring all feedback is registered, triaged, assigned, referred, and closed according to relevant SOPs; promoting the integration of CFM into design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design and implementation; contributing to organizational learning through analysis and reporting; building the capacity of staff and partners on CFM processes; ensuring community awareness of CFM channels; and promoting safeguarding principles in all CFM processes. Specific responsibilities include providing direct technical support to Area Office program teams, mentoring AO CFM focal points, identifying gaps in feedback handling, ensuring consistency across AOs, strengthening CFM channels, overseeing data management and compliance, analyzing feedback data, producing reports, providing training and technical support, coordinating with various teams, facilitating review meetings, and supporting community engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Roving CFM Coordinator position should possess a BA/MA/MSc in relevant fields such as Economics, Statistics, or Business Administration. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the NGO sector is required, with a preference for candidates who have experience in CFM, accountability, or community engagement. Previous experience managing CFMs at a national level is essential, along with a strong understanding of CEA, PSEA, child safeguarding, and the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS). Candidates should also have experience working in emergency or post-conflict settings, particularly with internally displaced persons (IDPs), and should demonstrate strong data analysis and reporting skills. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is necessary, as is the ability to present data clearly and identify trends. Experience in capacity-building efforts and the ability to transfer knowledge to diverse audiences are also important qualifications.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a BA/MA/MSc in fields such as Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or other related disciplines. Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the NGO sector, with a strong preference for candidates who have specific experience in community feedback mechanisms, accountability, or community engagement.
