Job Overview:
The position involves supporting communications activities at the country level for the WHO's World Health Day campaign in 202
  • The incumbent will be responsible for the accurate and timely production and dissemination of high-quality public information products that highlight the work of WHO and its partners on the ground. This role is critical in promoting the achievements and results of key public health initiatives, building contacts with the press/media, and optimizing networking opportunities. The incumbent will work closely with colleagues in the country office to ensure that WHO's work and health issues gain visibility among partners, the general public, the media, and other key stakeholders. The campaign theme for 2026 is "Unissons-nous pour la santé. Soutenons la science," which emphasizes the importance of science and data in public health decision-making, international cooperation, and an integrated One Health approach to global challenges such as pandemics and climate change.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The volunteers will be tasked with supporting the digital awareness campaign for World Health Day 202
  • Their responsibilities include actively disseminating awareness messages about the role of science in disease prevention and health promotion across various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn. They will relay visuals, infographics, videos, and key messages produced for the campaign, promote the One Health approach by highlighting the connections between human, animal, and environmental health, and encourage public participation in the global dialogue using the official hashtag #SoutenonslaScience. Volunteers will also share local testimonials, experiences, and innovative initiatives that illustrate the positive impact of science on health. They are expected to participate in a virtual orientation session before the campaign launch to harmonize messages and communication strategies. Additionally, they will support the visibility of the official celebration on April 7, 2026, by live posting and highlighting key moments and interventions. Finally, volunteers will submit a short final report summarizing their contributions, the reach of their actions, and the interactions generated.

Required Qualifications:
