Job Overview: The position involves consulting for the design, development, and implementation of a digital platform aimed at managing accounting and tracking financial movements for the Financing, Transparency, and Oversight Unit (UFTF) of UNDP in Honduras. The consultant will be responsible for creating a user-friendly and efficient platform that meets the specific needs of the UFTF, ensuring that it is capable of handling financial data securely and transparently. The consultant will work closely with UNDP staff to gather requirements, design the platform architecture, and oversee the implementation process. This role requires a strong understanding of digital platform development, financial management systems, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure that the final product aligns with their expectations and requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct a thorough analysis of the current financial management processes within the UFTF to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with UNDP staff to gather detailed requirements for the digital platform, ensuring that all necessary features are included.
Design the architecture of the digital platform, including user interfaces, database structures, and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security protocols.
Develop the platform using appropriate technologies, ensuring that it is scalable and maintainable.
Implement the platform and conduct thorough testing to ensure functionality and security.
Provide training and support to UFTF staff on how to use the new platform effectively.
Prepare documentation for the platform, including user manuals and technical specifications.
Monitor the platform post-implementation to address any issues and gather feedback for future improvements.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in designing and developing digital platforms, particularly in the context of financial management systems.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial tracking processes.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in relevant programming languages and technologies used for platform development.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may be considered an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in digital platform development, with a focus on financial management systems. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is highly desirable. Proven track record of successfully delivering similar projects on time and within budget is essential.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the primary language of communication will be Spanish. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, as it may be necessary for communication with international stakeholders.
Additional Notes: The consultancy period is expected to last a maximum of five (5) months. This position is classified as an individual contractor role, and the consultant will be expected to work full-time during the assignment. Compensation will be based on the consultant's experience and qualifications, and benefits may be provided as per UNDP policies. The consultant will need to register on the UNDP Quantum supplier portal to submit their proposal and participate in the bidding process.
