Job Overview:
The Learning Technologies Support Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of digital learning initiatives within CERN's Learning and Development (L&D) team. This position involves working with modern learning platforms and e-learning solutions, utilizing data analytics to enhance learner engagement, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality learning programs and services tailored for CERN's diverse community. The officer will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external L&D partners to develop effective learning solutions, provide technical support for e-learning creation and Learning Management Systems (LMS), and assess the impact of learning initiatives through evaluation methodologies. The role also includes creating guidelines for learning solutions, communicating with learners about the latest trends, and supporting the organization of learning events.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Learning Technologies Support Officer include: participating in the design and development of learning solutions in collaboration with internal and external partners; providing technical support in e-learning creation and digital tools; assessing the impact of learning initiatives using evaluation methodologies; contributing to the design of learning reports and data analytics; testing and supporting the selection and implementation of learning technologies; creating guidelines for learning solutions and digital tools; communicating with learners regarding learning initiatives; and assisting with administrative tasks related to course enrollments and organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a basic knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning concepts, which can be gained through academic coursework, projects, or initial professional experience. Initial exposure to digital learning formats, e-learning tools, or training materials is also required. A strong interest in learning technologies, digital platforms, and user experience is essential, along with a willingness to learn new tools and systems. Familiarity with LMS, authoring tools (such as Articulate), multimedia/video tools, or human capital management systems (like Oracle) is advantageous. Additionally, an interest in learning analytics and evaluation methods is beneficial.

Educational Background:
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Learning Technologies or a related field. Those without a university degree are not eligible, and applicants with a PhD are also not eligible for this position. The educational background should ideally include coursework or projects related to instructional design and adult learning principles.

Experience:
Candidates should have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Learning Technologies or a related field. This experience can include academic projects, internships, or initial professional roles that provide relevant exposure to digital learning formats and tools.

Languages:
Proficiency in spoken and written English or French is mandatory, with a commitment to learn the basics of the other language. This bilingual requirement is essential for effective communication within the diverse CERN community.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this position is 24 months, with a possibility of extension up to a maximum of 36 months. The working hours are set at 40 hours per week, and the job offers a hybrid flexibility model. The target start date for this position is August 1, 202
