Job Overview:
The Learning Technologies Support Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of digital learning initiatives within CERN's Learning and Development (L&D) team. This position involves working with modern learning platforms, e-learning solutions, data analytics, and learner engagement strategies to deliver high-quality learning programs and services tailored for CERN's diverse community. The officer will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external L&D partners to create effective learning solutions, provide technical support for e-learning tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS), and assess the impact of learning initiatives through evaluation methodologies. The role also includes contributing to the design of learning reports and data analytics, testing and implementing learning technologies, and communicating with learners about the latest trends and initiatives in learning.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Learning Technologies Support Officer include: participating in the design and development of learning solutions in collaboration with internal and external partners; providing technical support in e-learning creation and digital tools; assessing the impact of learning initiatives using evaluation methodologies; contributing to the design of routine and ad-hoc learning reports; testing and supporting the selection and implementation of learning technologies; creating guidelines for learning solutions and digital tools; communicating with learners regarding the latest trends and learning initiatives; contributing to the design of L&D communications and support for learning events; and handling general administrative tasks related to course enrollments and organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess basic knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning concepts, which can be gained through academic coursework, projects, or initial professional experience. Initial exposure to digital learning formats, e-learning tools, or training materials is also required. A strong interest in learning technologies, digital platforms, and user experience is essential, along with a willingness to learn new tools and systems. Familiarity with LMS, authoring tools (such as Articulate), multimedia/video tools, or human capital management systems (like Oracle) is advantageous. Additionally, candidates should have an interest in learning analytics, evaluation methods, and reporting.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Learning Technologies or a related field. Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member or Associate Member State and should have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation. It is important to note that applicants without a university degree or those with a PhD are not eligible for this position.

Experience:
Candidates should have a maximum of two years of professional experience in Learning Technologies or a related field, which can include academic projects, internships, or initial professional roles. This experience should be gained after graduation and should demonstrate the candidate's ability to engage with digital learning formats and tools.

Languages:
Proficiency in spoken and written English or French is mandatory, with a commitment to learn the basics of the other language. This bilingual requirement is essential for effective communication within CERN's diverse community.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this position is 24 months, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of 36 months. The working hours are set at 40 hours per week, and the job offers flexibility with a hybrid working model. The target start date for this position is August 1, 202
