Job Overview:
The Team Leader for the Ohana Academy program will play a crucial role in establishing a new holistic educational and wellbeing program for young people in contact with the youth justice system in Logan. This full-time position is a 12-month maximum term role, with a strong possibility of extension until December 202
  • The leader will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the program, which includes educational support and integrated case management for young people aged 10-16 and their families. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Team Leader will have a wide range of responsibilities, including: leading and developing a passionate team of support staff, providing professional supervision, and ensuring a cohesive and holistic service in partnership with Ohana for Youth. The leader will proactively build connections with local service providers, including schools, youth justice services, and other specialist supports. Advocacy for young people and their families through local networks and engagement with government agencies is essential. The Team Leader will oversee daily operations within the Ohana Academy program, ensuring compliance with practice, child safeguarding standards, and service agreements. Required Qualifications:
