The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program contributes to peace and development globally through volunteerism. Established to integrate qualified, highly motivated, and well-supported UN Volunteers into development programs, the UNV program works with partners to promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism. Active in approximately 130 countries each year, the UNV program has a presence on the ground in over 80 countries and is represented worldwide. The UNV program is administered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Job Overview:
This position is aimed at supporting the Talent Acquisition team of the UNV Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean in identifying and systematizing professional ecosystems and strategic dissemination channels for specialized fundraising profiles. The role is particularly focused on meeting the needs of partners such as UNICEF, which require profiles with experience in fundraising, marketing" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">digital marketing, strategic communication, philanthropy, and partnership development. The selected individuals will conduct a mapping of relevant actors, networks, and platforms linked to the fundraising sector and resource mobilization. This mapping will include professional associations, philanthropy networks, digital marketing communities, specialized fundraising platforms, social sector organizations, and professional digital communities. Additionally, they will identify strategic channels for dissemination and talent acquisition, such as professional platforms, sectoral networks, online communities, and spaces where professionals with experience in fundraising, digital marketing, and partnership development congregate. As part of their assignment, the selected individuals will also support the dissemination of a call for registration directed at fundraising profiles, utilizing the identified channels to broaden outreach and attract relevant talent. Furthermore, they will contribute to the systematization of the collected information, generating structured inputs that will strengthen talent attraction strategies in this area and expand the pool of potential candidates for future assignments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a comprehensive mapping of relevant actors, networks, and platforms in the fundraising sector.
  • Identify professional associations, philanthropy networks, and digital marketing communities that can serve as sources of talent.
  • Analyze and document strategic channels for talent dissemination and acquisition.
  • Support the dissemination of calls for registration aimed at attracting fundraising professionals.
  • Utilize identified channels to enhance outreach and attract relevant candidates.
  • Systematize collected information to create structured inputs for talent attraction strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to refine strategies based on mapping results.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and align talent acquisition efforts accordingly.

  • Provide regular updates and reports on progress and findings to the Talent Acquisition team.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of fundraising, marketing, and resource mobilization strategies.
  • Experience in mapping professional networks and identifying talent sources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for outreach and engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and document findings effectively.
  • Familiarity with the UN system and its partners is an advantage.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as communications, marketing, international relations, or social sciences is required. A master's degree in a related area is preferred and may be considered an asset.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, marketing, or talent acquisition. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is highly desirable. Familiarity with the Latin American and Caribbean context is a plus.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, and proficiency in English is highly desirable. Knowledge of other languages spoken in the region would be an advantage.

Additional Notes:
This position is a temporary assignment with a focus on full-time engagement. The role may involve remote work options depending on the circumstances. The selected candidates will be expected to work collaboratively with the UNV team and contribute to the overall mission of enhancing talent acquisition strategies in the fundraising sector.
