Job Overview: This position is part of the UNV Regional Office's efforts to enhance Talent Acquisition strategies in Latin America and the Caribbean. The assignment aims to broaden and diversify talent sources in Brazil, ensuring equitable access to opportunities across the country. The role is crucial in addressing the concentration of vacancy dissemination processes in major urban centers, which can limit access for candidates from less visible municipalities. The volunteer will contribute to identifying and strengthening connections with local institutions, professional networks, and community organizations to expand the reach of opportunities. This involves conducting territorial mapping of relevant networks and institutions in prioritized municipalities in Brazil, focusing on identifying talent sources and alternative channels for opportunity dissemination.
Duties and Responsibilities: The selected volunteer will support the Talent Acquisition team by identifying and analyzing local networks and talent sources in prioritized municipalities across Brazil. Responsibilities include conducting territorial mapping of relevant actors and institutions such as universities, technical institutions, community organizations, professional associations, sectoral networks, non-governmental organizations, women’s networks, and digital communities. The volunteer will focus on identifying spaces and networks where potential talent is concentrated and local channels that can facilitate the dissemination of opportunities at the territorial level. This involves engaging with local stakeholders, gathering data, and providing insights that can enhance the outreach and effectiveness of the UNV's recruitment efforts.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and assess local networks and talent sources effectively. Excellent communication skills are essential for engaging with various stakeholders, including community organizations and educational institutions. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team is crucial, as is a commitment to the values of volunteerism and community engagement. Familiarity with the local context in Brazil and experience in community outreach or talent acquisition would be advantageous.
Educational Background: A background in social sciences, human resources, community development, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the dynamics of volunteerism and community engagement, as well as the educational and professional landscape in Brazil.
Experience: While specific years of experience may not be mandated, prior experience in community outreach, talent acquisition, or volunteer management is highly desirable. Familiarity with the Brazilian context and local networks will be beneficial for the role.
Languages: Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory, as the role requires engagement with local stakeholders and institutions. Proficiency in English and/or Spanish would be considered an asset, enhancing communication with the broader UNV team and international partners.
Additional Notes: This is a volunteer position, and as such, it may not offer traditional compensation. However, it provides valuable experience in the field of talent acquisition and community engagement within an international organization. The role may involve flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work, depending on the specific tasks and requirements.
