Job Overview: The role of Talent Acquisition Support is crucial in enhancing the Talent Acquisition strategies of the UNV Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean. This position is particularly focused on expanding and diversifying talent sourcing channels across the region, especially for roles related to emergency response and disaster recovery in the Caribbean. Given the specialized nature of positions associated with hurricane recovery operations and emergency response, the Talent Acquisition team is tasked with improving its ability to identify and engage with regional ecosystems where qualified humanitarian talent is concentrated. The selected individuals will play a vital role in mapping these ecosystems, which include various stakeholders such as non-governmental organizations, humanitarian networks, disaster risk management agencies, public institutions, universities, professional associations, and digital communities. This work aims to enhance the visibility of vacancies and increase the number of qualified applications for emergency-related assignments, particularly focusing on mid- to senior-level talent in key sectors such as Health, WASH, Logistics, Shelter, and Protection.
Duties and Responsibilities: The primary duties and responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Support role include conducting a structured mapping of relevant actors and professional networks linked to emergency response and hurricane recovery in the Caribbean. This involves identifying and analyzing non-governmental organizations, humanitarian networks, disaster risk management agencies, public institutions, universities, professional associations, and digital communities. Additionally, the role requires supporting targeted outreach efforts and strategically disseminating professional opportunities within these ecosystems. The goal is to increase the visibility of job vacancies and expand the pool of qualified applicants for emergency-related assignments. The work will particularly focus on identifying environments where mid- to senior-level talent is concentrated, ensuring that the Talent Acquisition team can effectively engage with these professionals.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and map talent ecosystems effectively. Excellent communication skills are essential for outreach and engagement with various stakeholders. Familiarity with the humanitarian sector, particularly in emergency response and disaster recovery, is highly desirable. Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in talent acquisition, human resources, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on emergency response and disaster recovery contexts. Experience working with non-governmental organizations or in humanitarian settings is preferred. Additionally, candidates with experience in mapping talent ecosystems and engaging with diverse professional networks will be highly regarded.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, while proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable. Knowledge of other languages relevant to the Caribbean region would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with a broader range of stakeholders.
Additional Notes: This position may involve a contract of varying duration, depending on the needs of the UNV Regional Office.
