Interns will work under the supervision of the Chief of the Office and will be expected to contribute to the development and maintenance of the Department’s Knowledge Hub, assist in drafting public information materials, and support outreach initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to: supporting the development and maintenance of the Knowledge Hub, organizing and uploading relevant knowledge assets, responding to internal information requests, conducting evaluations of the Knowledge Hub, drafting reports and summaries, promoting knowledge management tools, assisting in capacity building events, drafting and editing content for public information materials, producing multimedia materials, contributing to the communications strategy, organizing events, and performing various administrative tasks. Interns are also expected to observe all applicable UN rules and regulations and respect the confidentiality of information acquired during their internship.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet specific criteria to be eligible for the internship. They should be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program or be in the final year of a bachelor's degree program. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate computer literacy, a keen interest in the UN's work, and the ability to interact with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Knowledge of trade and the multilateral trading system is considered an asset. While professional work experience is not required, a relevant field of study is essential for the internship.
Educational Background: Candidates must be pursuing or have completed a degree in fields related to environmental studies, economics, international trade, sustainability, or other trade-related disciplines.
