Job Overview: The Industry Analyst - Insurance position at IFC is designed for an experienced candidate with a solid technical background in insurance and sound business judgment. The Industry Analyst will work closely with Industry Specialists to screen projects for financial viability, assist in the appraisal process, and help develop new products related to insurance. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Industry Analyst include:
Market making and project preparation: Assisting Industry Specialists in screening projects for financial viability, supporting the appraisal process, and developing new insurance products.
Processing: Participating in IFC's deal approval process, reviewing project information during due diligence, and preparing investment-related documents.
Portfolio management: Proactively monitoring project portfolios during implementation, summarizing project progress, and flagging major issues.
Analytics: Performing market analytics, maintaining databases, and developing technical handbooks and knowledge management materials.
Collaboration: Working with global insurance partners and maintaining relationships under credit insurance programs.
Technical support: Assisting in maintaining financial models and tools, and contributing to the development of lessons learned databases.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Industry Analyst position include a Bachelor’s degree (graduate degree preferred) in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience, demonstrating knowledge of the insurance industry in emerging markets. A proven track record in producing high-quality market intelligence outputs is essential, along with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is also required.

Experience: The position requires at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, particularly in emerging markets.
