  • Advocate for the use of digital tools for stock monitoring and ensure timely submission of Vaccine Arrival Reports (e-VAR).
  • Manage cold chain equipment (CCE) availability, maintenance, and rehabilitation.
  • Lead monitoring and evaluation efforts, including EVM assessments and reporting on supply chain performance indicators.
  • Organize training and coaching for healthcare workers on vaccine supply management and cold chain optimization.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Public Health, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • At least five years of relevant work experience in immunization supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control, preferably in the health sector.
  • Expertise in health logistics, supply planning, and customs clearance.
  • Strong knowledge of the Ethiopian health sector and supply chains.
  • Proven experience in developing national cold chain inventories and rehabilitation plans.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Pharmacy, Public Health, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in related areas may be advantageous.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the immunization supply chain, particularly in emergency situations. Experience in the health sector, especially in logistics and inventory control, is essential. Familiarity with the Ethiopian health system and previous work with government agencies or international organizations is preferred.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of other official UN languages such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish is considered an asset.

The position is full-time and may involve travel within Ethiopia. UNICEF promotes a diverse and inclusive work environment and encourages applications from qualified candidates regardless of gender, nationality, or background. The organization offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid parental leave and reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities. Candidates may be required to undergo background checks and medical clearance as part of the hiring process.
