Job Overview:
The UN Volunteer - Data Collection Team Leader will play a pivotal role in overseeing data collection activities related to the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) in collaboration with the Presidency of Migration Management (PMM) and other stakeholders. This position requires a proactive approach to managing enumerators, ensuring adherence to data collection protocols, and conducting both quantitative and qualitative interviews with individuals from host and migrant communities. The Team Leader will be responsible for monitoring the progress of enumerators, providing real-time feedback on data quality, and maintaining effective communication with community members and local authorities. This role is essential for ensuring that the data collected is accurate, reliable, and contributes to the overall objectives of the project. The Team Leader will report directly to IOM’s Senior Project Associate and Field Coordinator, working closely with them to achieve the project's goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the UN Volunteer - Data Collection Team Leader include: overseeing the daily activities of enumerators, ensuring compliance with data collection protocols and schedules; assigning locations to enumerators and monitoring their progress; conducting quantitative and qualitative interviews in the field; supervising the data collection process and ensuring accountability; providing real-time feedback and guidance to enumerators regarding data quality issues; conducting field visits with Project Associates; utilizing established mobile data collection tools; submitting daily updates on progress, challenges, and observations; maintaining liaison with community members and local authorities for access to the field and coordination; and performing any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor. This comprehensive set of responsibilities emphasizes the importance of leadership, communication, and data management skills in this role.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the UN Volunteer - Data Collection Team Leader position should possess strong leadership and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage teams effectively. Additional Notes:
This position is a volunteer assignment, not employment, and candidates should be aware that the allowances provided are not to be understood as a salary or compensation for work. The monthly living allowance is USD 968, paid in Turkish Lira, and includes private health, dental, life, and dismemberment insurance coverage. An entry allowance of USD 10 is also provided. Candidates should arrange their own housing and living essentials.
