Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will have a range of responsibilities, including assisting in the preparations and organization of UNCTAD meetings related to civil society organizations, drafting communications and replies to inquiries, preparing outreach materials, updating databases, attending meetings, and preparing notes and reports. They will also assist in the preparation of substantive background materials for meetings of the G77 and China Regional Group, and coordinate administrative requirements for these meetings. Interns are expected to observe all applicable rules and regulations of the UN, provide copies of all materials prepared during the internship, respect the impartiality of the UN, and refrain from any conduct that could adversely reflect on the organization.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet specific qualifications to be eligible for the internship. They should be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program or be in the final academic year of a first university degree program. Additionally, interns should be computer literate in standard software applications, have a keen interest in the work of the United Nations, and demonstrate the ability to interact successfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
